I hope you are enjoying the summer! Here at PIPs Rewards, we’ve gone deep into trivia on our incentives app. Our learners tell us they really like trivia. Not only is it fun, it’s not trivial — we customize content with our partner organizations so it reinforces and supports their important programs. One of our partners now calls us their “digital learning platform”!
As we add trivia features, we have youth from New York to Arizona testing it and giving us feedback. One of our values is collaboration, and we are grateful to be developing our incentives system with our amazing partners.
Our partners provide essential education and skills training to vulnerable populations so they can increase their economic mobility. In this time of reduced funding and increased uncertainty, they are modeling another of our values, delight, as they provide our fun and innovative platform to their learners.

Test your Trivia Knowledge and Win a Prize!
We’ve put some sample trivia quizzes from our partners on Google Forms so you can give them a try. Click the links below to see how you do. You also have a chance to experience the rewards side of our program. Provide your email address, and you’ll be entered in the drawing for a PIPs water bottle or chocolate bar!
- FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) | Students from low-income communities who complete the FAFSA are 41% more likely to go to college.
- Civics | Some states are increasing their Civics requirements for the GED (Graduate Equivalency Degree), so learners need to meet a higher bar to gain access to college or a better job.
- Construction | Gaining this knowledge in pre-apprenticeship programs provides an on-ramp to the skilled trades, where there is a shortage of workers (these quality jobs are not being replaced by AI).

Recent requests we’ve worked on include how to get cash rewards to learners (whether or not they have a bank account) and how to verify program alumni’s pay checks so our partners have data on employment status while prioritizing data privacy. PIPS Rewards App Update
We are excited to show off our new upgraded incentives app! Based on feedback from our partners and their learners we have a new interface that includes new features such as custom branding, multiple language access, in-app support/ program info and an overall more simple and nimble experience. More than 40,000 young adults have used our app and logged more than two million positive actions that they took.
They tell us this experience has helped them to be more comfortable and willing to complete actions they had initially found hard. They also say that the app is fun to use, has given them more confidence and improved their decision-making, and that they value the rewards they earn.
